Was talking to an old friend of yours about you the other day

So we better sit down so let’s go get us a coffee
And here’s what she had to say
‘You are not going to like this, honey’
She’s been seeing another, and everyone knew-hoo
It’s been going on forever, so more fool you
The lodger is her lover, my dear it’s true
They’ve been seen out together, holding hands too
Oh for Christ’s sake, why did no one ever say
But then again my friends, she always looked guilty
Been pacing up and down wondering what the hell I should now do
So I asked my so called friends did they knew more of you
Well they didn’t stop till I said ‘Please that will do’
And here’s what else they had to say
And yes folks their words blew me away
They’ve been so many others since she met you
You’re best friend and his brother, and uncle came too
We hoped you wouldn’t find out, well hey! now you do
So better out than never and no more fool you
Oh for Christ’s sake, why did no one ever say
